Maxie & Ruth Bolden celebrated 52 years of marriage on June 19th, 2007.

Melvyn & Allean Lyas celebrated 30 years of marriage on June 11th , 2007.

Joe and Shirley Mann will celebrate 9 years of marriage on July 31st, 2007.

harlie & Virginia Bolden will celebrate 35th anniversary on September 2nd, 2007.

Ebon & Cidni Sanders will celebrate their 6th wedding anniversary on September 1st, 2007.

Carlos Bolden and Nicole Stewart will wed on August 11th 2007, in East Chicago, IN.

Marvin & Tami Lindo celebrated their 3rd wedding anniversary on February 7th, 2007.

Steve and Staci Shea will celebrate their 1st wedding anniversary on August 11th 2007.

Rickey Kenny and Karyn Harris were married on June 30th 2007.

Gabe Koenigfeld and Stephanie Bolden were married on June 23rd, 2007.

PROMOTIONS, NEW HOME PURCHASES:

*Yulanda Bolden recently purchased a new home; *Yulanda was also promoted to manager
with Liberty Mutual, she is also currently working toward her Insurance Designation.
* In 2008 her goal is to go back to school and work toward her Masters.

*Alisa Simpson was  promoted to Manager @ Jefferson.

Joseph E. Mann was appointed Executive Director/ Chief Executive Officer of Norwalk
Economic Opportunity Now, Inc. (NEON) in April of 2006.  NEON is the greater Norwalk Area’
s Community Action Agency.  In this role of CEO he is responsible for approximately 250
employees in eight locations in providing social services, child development, skills training,
workforce development, community justice programs, etc. to six communities.  NEON
operates  Head Start and School Readiness programs for over 500 preschool children.  Joe
has been with NEON for the past eleven years serving as Director of Technology and
Deputy Director, Operations and gave up his elected position as a State Representative in
the Connecticut General Assembly to assume the position of Executive Director.  In
addition to the role of CEO for NEON,
Joe also serves on the Boards of The Norwalk
Hospital, The Norwalk YMCA, The Norwalk Maritime Aquarium, as Chairman of the Norwalk
Community Health Center, as Treasurer for the Norwalk Branch, NAACP and as Keeper of
Finance for the Alpha Nu Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.

The Reverend Phyllis Y. Bolden was elected to the city of Norwalk Common Council,
representing District B (South Norwalk) and serves as the Chair of the Health, Welfare &
Public Safety Committee of the council. She is a member of the Recreation, Parks and
Cultural Affairs Committee and the Planning Committee and the Women Minority Small
Business Set-Aside Committee.
